Re-opening: July 2009

Rates for this season will stay at 2007 levels

The refurbishing work is now on schedule for a July 1st summer opening, and already the bookings are starting to come in.

"It's been a difficult time for anyone trying to reserve a room over the past few months," admit Jackie Hogg and John Atkinson, "but now the phone lines are reconnected and the web site is functioning normally. As we are very much in a start-up phase we have decided to keep the room rates as they were in 2007 when the Inn was last open.

"We're also developing an online reservation system which will enable guests to look up the availability of each room on the dates required, make their own bookings, and receive an automatic confirmation. It's a very good system and is certain to make all our lives much easier – but until it goes ‘live' please continue to contact us via e-mail at stay@1774inn.com.

"We're really looking forward to greeting our first guests and we can promise them a visit to be remembered. There's so much to point out in this magnificent historic house, and the surrounding Phippsburg area has enough attractions and activities to keep even the most demanding visitor happy."
